Tonight, I saw Toy Story 3 in theaters. First of all, let me start off by saying that I feel as though I had grown up with Andy, Woody, Buzz and the gang. The first movie came out in 1995 when I was two, the second came out in 1999 when I was six, and now, eleven years later in 2010, when I am 17 and just about to become a senior in high school, the third movie is out. So it when I saw Slinky, and Jessie riding Bullseye, and Buzz flying up, carrying a train, I couldn't be happier. The catch phrases and lines from the previous movies were put into this one, and I couldn't help but say them out loud, although mostly everybody else in the theater did the same. If I were to have to choose my favorite of the three, it would definitely be this one. Just the fact that I've waited so long for the story to be completely wrapped up, and now it is. I couldn't help but to enjoy myself incredibly.
So for the actual story, I have to say that it was much more dramatic than a lot of Disney movies that I have seen. I cried twice. The first time was when they were struggling to avoid going into the fire, kept on asking what to do, then decided that if they were going to burn, they were going to do it together so they all held hands. The fact that they love each other so much really made me tear up, even though I knew that they couldn't actually burn since it was Disney. The other part was at the ending, when Andy was giving Bonnie all of his toys. It showed that the whole thing really was over, and seeing Andy drive off into the sun and all of the toys sitting together on the front step just made me think back to how much I loved the trilogy so much.
Basically, what I'm saying is that if you even remotely liked the first two movies, you will really greatly enjoy the third. It's just full of the greatest lines, the funniest jokes, the cutest scenes and the most dramatic experiences that take a Disney movie to the next level.
